Finally the big show, the highly anticipated Rock Wit Chu concert at the MSG November 1^st at 8:00 pm, Janet Jackson and LL Cool James will throw down before a hometown guaranteed sellout crowd.  The tour finally makes it to Madison Square Garden.

 

The Big Apple, AKA the Concrete Jungle New York City is the most populated city in the United States which is a city in the state of New York with a population of about 8 to 9 million people and the largest metropolitan area in the country with a population of about 20 million people the city is densely populated.

 

The city is known as a melting pot because of the many cultures represented in New York City.  The Big Apple consist of five boroughs and the Garden is located in Manhattan AKA the New York and is centrally located not far from Port Authority, in fact it is walking distance from the bus depot, however many bus companies will take you directly in front of the MSG and the Garden is located right above Penn Station the Rail Road Train Station.

 

New York City is not only rich in culture, but is the leading global city with a powerful influence over commerce, finance, (Wall Street), entertainment and international affairs hosting the United Nations Headquarters.

 

The Gotham is unique because of its high volume of the use of mass transit, often it is easier and faster to travel by mass transit in the Big Apple by mass transit especially during rush hours. I mean a lot of famous people live here and do not drive and actually use mass transit, to include the billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is know for going to City Hall via mass transit.

 

New York City is a very tolerant city with something and somewhere for all kinds of people, whether you are straight, homosexual, black, white, brown, yellow or red, rich, poor, religious or non religious this is a city of survivors and it is believed if you can make here you can make it anywhere.

 

The show is three days before the nation gets serious again and selects the next President of the United States in what is billed as the most important election in history.  There is no place like the Big Apple New York City and the Garden is rich in history located above Penn Station Rail Road and blocks from Port Authority bus depots, surrounded by hotels on a Saturday evening in the city that never sleeps, this event is big.  Do not miss out.  I will personally be there and look forward to the show.

Janet will rise to the occasion at the Houston Toyota Center on October 21^st and the Dallas American Airlines Center the next day October 22^nd and the combined metropolitan areas account for about 12 million people.  With Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown the 6^th largest metropolitan area at about 5.6 million and Dallas-Fort Worth accounting for about 6.1 million people., while Houston is actually the largest city in the state and Dallas is the third largest city in the state of Texas while Texas has a population of about 24 million people the second largest state in the country.

 

Janet will perform at the Toyota Center located in Downtown Houston doors open at 7:30 pm on the 21^st and at 6:30 pm on the 22^nd at the American Airlines Center near downtown Dallas.

 

The Toyota Center is the home of the Houston Rockets (NBA) Comets (WNBA) and Aeros (AHL) and the American Airlines Center is the home of the Dallas Stars (NHL) Mavericks (NBA) Desperados (AFL).

 

Both cities are about 50% white, 25% black and 5% Asian and about 20 percent of the population is of many races.  Both cities have a strong growth pattern in recent years the growth has been in double figures.

 

Houston and Dallas are very good venues for pop concerts because Dallas is less than 9% over  age 65 years of age and Houston is among one of the nation’s youngest populations.  These are not retirement cities.  There are 38 colleges in Dallas and 4 major public universities in Houston and Houston has a large gay population also as well the state has a large illegal immigrant populations, especially Dallas which is a major destination for Mexican Immigrants both legal and illegal.  I think this will be a major turning point for the return of the comeback of Janet. From Texas the Rock Wit Chu Tours enters Kansas City, Missouri at the Sprint Center.  It is the largest city in Missouri and is situated opposite of Kansas City, Kansas.

Janet Jackson and LL Cool J will perform at the Verizon Center, in Washington DC on Wednesday October 15^th, 2008.  The Rock Wit Chu Tour is expected to get back on its leg in “the District.”

 

The Verizon Center is a sports and entertainment center.  It was formerly called the MCI Center but was bought out by Verizon and is nicknamed the “Phone Booth,” because of the association with telecommunications.  It is the home of the Wizards (NBA), the Mystics (WNBA), the Capitals (NHL) and the Georgetown University men’s basketball team.

 

The Verizon Center can seat about 20,000 people at concert events using the center stage configuration, Janet uses the end stage configuration and because of her unique stage setup the seating capacity will be much less.  I can take an educated guess of about 13,000 seating capacity,

 

Washington DC, the District of Columbia also called Washington or simply the District, is a city located north of the Potomac River bordered by the states Virginia and Maryland, but is not considered a state itself and this issue has been of great debates.  The Washington Metropolitan Area has a population of about 5.3 Million people and is the eighth largest metropolitan area in the United States, located on the East Coastal area which is the residence of over 150,000,000 people which is almost half of the United States population, so rescheduling the east coast is very important to the success of the Rock Wit Chu Tour. 

 

The population of the District is at about 600,000, however commuters from the surrounding areas puts the population over 1,000,000 daily.  The main racial breakdown of the District are African American and Caucasian with about 55% to 56% African American and 35% to 36% Caucasian, however the black population is steadily declining as many of the people of this community are relocating to the suburbs. 

 

In 1975 P Funk led by George Clinton made an album called Chocolate City referring to the huge black population of the District, even though it is the location of the White House and the Federal Government the city is predominately of African American Heritage.    However the arena is located in Washington’s downtown Chinatown and there are plenty of means of public transportation to the venue.  Janet return to the comeback tour should amount an exiting night in the District.  I think this will be the big night!

I have to say it is a good day in America, but still some may find it ironic, that Janet will perform at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino on Columbus Day a Native American owned establishment.  This is not a history lesson nor am I hating the fact of the matter is I am half Sicilian of Gambino heritage and all.  My European family did not find this place it was already colonized and my African Family was probably only bought here because these innocent people refused to be slaves and on this day it should be all about them.  That said!

 

The Rock Wit Chu Tour will arrive at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino Event Center not just the name of the venue but the state of the tour itself will take a turn on October 13^th, 2008 which is a Monday at 8:00 pm, on the holiday Columbus Day.  And there is no better day to show up at this venue and enjoy a great show after a wonderful weekend of conferences, shopping, gaming win or lose a great entertaining show as a closer.  It is a place to be!

 

It is again ironic that the name of the City is after a city west of Rome named Verona, Italy.  Enough of the irony lets have fun. 

 

In 1993 the Oneida Nation brought land in this town and opened a casino and bingo hall and by 1997 it evolved into the Turning Stone Resort and Casino.  The Event Center is 5,000 seating capacity high tech and state of the art sound operations that was part of a $350 expansion and opened its doors in 2004 and has over 2,400 parking spaces.  There are NO BAD SEATS!  The Nation so important to the area they employ about 5,000 people.  Show Support on this day!

 

The Turning Stone is in the top 5 tourist attractions in New York drawing about 4.5 million people per year.  The Touring Stone is a huge resort and can easily draw over 100,000 people during the events filled weekend of the Columbus Day Holiday Weekend.  It is going to be an exciting place to be and located in Central New York not very far from Syracuse, New York.

The Mohegan Native American Tribal Nation has been in Connecticut since about the 16^th Century.  The have a 700 acre reservation in the village of Uncasville and is considered a sovereign nation not subject to local laws.  The Mohegan Sun Casino and resort opened in 1996.

 

Janet Jackson and LL cool J will perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena on 11 October 2008.  The Mohegan Sun seats about 10,000 people so tickets will certainly go fast.  Showtime is 8:00pm.

 

The multi-purpose arena hosts a wide variety of events and is the home of the Connecticut Sun (WNBA) since 2003 to present.

 

The Mohegan Sun is 128 miles from New York City and only minutes away from Rhode Island which is 43 miles away.  The Mohegan Sun attracts people from surrounding areas.

 

Janet Jackson is expected to receive an award for the Mohegan Tribal Nation for bringing awareness to the Native American people during the Rock Wit Chu World Tour.

Janet DJ Jackson & LL Cool J will perform at the BankAtalntic Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on October 7^th, 2008.  Almost entirely publicly financed conveniently located in Sunrise, FL a suburb in Fort Lauderdale right off the Sawgrass Highway at the Oakland Park Boulevard exit, it will be the place to be on Tuesday.  Janet made arrangements for some people to bus from remote areas in Florida to enjoy her show.  This is not just an event for Fort Lauderdale but an event for Florida from distances within 170 miles, which is less than a 3 hour bus ride.

 

The arena has about 70 suites, 2,300 club seats and holds over 16,000 people at end stage concerts which the Rock Wit Chu Tour is.

 

Fort Lauderdale has an expensive intricate canal system located in Broward County Florida and the main city of the South Florida metropolitan area which is the residence of over 5.5 million people.

 

Also Fort Lauderdale is a very popular tourist destination attracting over 10 million tourists every year and the attraction is seasonal and it starts about now.  With over 4,100 restaurants and over 120 nightclubs, 42,000 resident yachts and beautiful weather it is the place to be for an evening out.  Over 75% of the population speaks English as a first language with a median income of about $39G and when you consider the cost of living in Florida, discretionary spending should be good.

 

The sad thing about Fort Lauderdale is that they have the second highest AIDS rate in the United States just ahead of New York City.  About 75% are cases due to men having sex with men.  The good thing is part of the new contract being negotiated for Janet include shares of stock with a pharmaceutical company that hold the patent to the cure to AIDS to be released soon, which is a reason to come out and celebrate.

 

We are in the process of arranging bus transportation to and from these locations so that people do not have to worry about the dangers of driving and can come to the show from surrounding counties in Florida.

Spend a Sunday evening with Janet and LL Cool J at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia October 19^th, 2008, because that is where they will be.  Originally scheduled for October 5^th, but was postponed due to illness Janet is back in full force after two successful performances at the “Phone Booth” (the Verizon Center) in Washington D.C. and the Izod Center in New Jersey, part of the New York Metropolitan Area, now it is only a matter on momentum.

 

The Philips Arena is an indoor arena in Atlanta, GA that was completed in 1999 at a cost of about $214 million.  Home of the Hawks (NBA) and Thrashers (NHL) and can seat about 21,000 people at a concert event using the Center Stage Configuration.  It has 92 luxury suites and 1,866 club seats in it.  Janet uses the end stage configuration in a less than full arrangement because her unique stage setup with front few, we will seat less than 14,000.  There will be no bad seats.

 

Atlanta is the capital of Georgia and the most populated city with about 520,000 people and the 9^th most populated metropolitan area in the United States about 5.3 million people.  Atlanta has recently become of international influence and is the fastest growing city in the United States.  Residents in the city are known as “Atlantans.”

 

Atlanta is about 53% black, 34% white and 6% Hispanic, with less than 3% Asians with very few Native Americans and other races.  The city has the third highest percentage of gay and lesbian couples at about 13%.  The median income is about $55,000, which means there is a lot of discretionary spending.  The 2000 census estimates Metropolitan Atlanta is the fastest growing metro area in the United States.

 

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the only International Airport for the state of Georgia, there are also other smaller airports.  Also, Atlanta has a lot of colleges and Universities; in fact Atlanta is the home of the famous Spelman and Morehouse colleges as well as Georgia Tech University.

 

I think there will be another fast sellout at this venue; however I think we should also give student discounts on a block of tickets to college students in the Atlanta area.  We preach go to school, so practice making it a memorable experience.  I say a predetermined block of tickets go to the college students and military personnel at a 25% discount at every show.  With the struggling economy we might want to consider across the board discounts starting the day before the show.  A ticket sold not sold or given away still requires the same amount of work on stage but brings added excitement in a full capacity crowd.
