Janet & LL Cool J enters the Hot Sunshine State

Janet & LL Cool J enters the Hot Sunshine State

Postponed

Janet DJ Jackson & LL Cool J will perform at the BankAtalntic Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on October 7th, 2008.  Almost entirely publicly financed conveniently located in Sunrise, FL a suburb in Fort Lauderdale right off the Sawgrass Highway at the Oakland Park Boulevard exit, it will be the place to be on Tuesday.  Janet made arrangements for some people to bus from remote areas in Florida to enjoy her show.  This is not just an event for Fort Lauderdale but an event for Florida from distances within 170 miles, which is less than a 3 hour bus ride.

The arena has about 70 suites, 2,300 club seats and holds over 16,000 people at end stage concerts which the Rock Wit Chu Tour is.

Fort Lauderdale has an expensive intricate canal system located in Broward County Florida and the main city of the South Florida metropolitan area which is the residence of over 5.5 million people.

Also Fort Lauderdale is a very popular tourist destination attracting over 10 million tourists every year and the attraction is seasonal and it starts about now.  With over 4,100 restaurants and over 120 nightclubs, 42,000 resident yachts and beautiful weather it is the place to be for an evening out.  Over 75% of the population speaks English as a first language with a median income of about $39G and when you consider the cost of living in Florida, discretionary spending should be good.

The sad thing about Fort Lauderdale is that they have the second highest AIDS rate in the United States just ahead of New York City.  About 75% are cases due to men having sex with men.  The good thing is part of the new contract being negotiated for Janet include shares of stock with a pharmaceutical company that hold the patent to the cure to AIDS to be released soon, which is a reason to come out and celebrate.

We are in the process of arranging bus transportation to and from these locations so that people do not have to worry about the dangers of driving and can come to the show from surrounding counties in Florida.

Janet and LL Cool J Enters the Philips Arena

Janet and LL Cool J Enters the Philips Arena

Spend a Sunday evening with Janet and LL Cool J at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia October 19th, 2008, because that is where they will be.  Originally scheduled for October 5th, but was postponed due to illness Janet is back in full force after two successful performances at the “Phone Booth” (the Verizon Center) in Washington D.C. and the Izod Center in New Jersey, part of the New York Metropolitan Area, now it is only a matter on momentum.

The Philips Arena is an indoor arena in Atlanta, GA that was completed in 1999 at a cost of about $214 million.  Home of the Hawks (NBA) and Thrashers (NHL) and can seat about 21,000 people at a concert event using the Center Stage Configuration.  It has 92 luxury suites and 1,866 club seats in it.  Janet uses the end stage configuration in a less than full arrangement because her unique stage setup with front few, we will seat less than 14,000.  There will be no bad seats.

Atlanta is the capital of Georgia and the most populated city with about 520,000 people and the 9th most populated metropolitan area in the United States about 5.3 million people.  Atlanta has recently become of international influence and is the fastest growing city in the United States.  Residents in the city are known as “Atlantans.”

Atlanta is about 53% black, 34% white and 6% Hispanic, with less than 3% Asians with very few Native Americans and other races.  The city has the third highest percentage of gay and lesbian couples at about 13%.  The median income is about $55,000, which means there is a lot of discretionary spending.  The 2000 census estimates Metropolitan Atlanta is the fastest growing metro area in the United States.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the only International Airport for the state of Georgia, there are also other smaller airports.  Also, Atlanta has a lot of colleges and Universities; in fact Atlanta is the home of the famous Spelman and Morehouse colleges as well as Georgia Tech University.

I think there will be another fast sellout at this venue; however I think we should also give student discounts on a block of tickets to college students in the Atlanta area.  We preach go to school, so practice making it a memorable experience.  I say a predetermined block of tickets go to the college students and military personnel at a 25% discount at every show.  With the struggling economy we might want to consider across the board discounts starting the day before the show.  A ticket sold not sold or given away still requires the same amount of work on stage but brings added excitement in a full capacity crowd.

We are currently in the process of rescheduling all postponed shows that are to be announced (TBA).

Janet Jackson & LL Cool J in North Carolina

See map below

Janet Jackson & LL Cool J in North Carolina

Postponed

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is an indoor arena that went under extensive renovation and went from a 15,000 seating venue to over 20,000 seats today

It is located in Greensboro North Carolina the third largest city in North Carolina with a population of about 260,000 in Guilford Country and the surrounding Piedmont Triad which consist of Winston-Salem and High Point and of course Greensboro, served by the Piedmont Triad International Airport.  Do not confuse the Triad with “Triangle” region of Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill which is directly east.

The Triad combined statistical area is about1.6 million people the 30th largest metropolitan area in the USA.  The Triangle directly east has a metropolitan area of 1.4 million.  As you will see on the map these areas are adjacent and people will come from many directions to see the show, therefore promotions have to cover a large area.  And something that might not show up in the census is the huge college population in North Carolina the Tried is an important educational region.  Promotions have to make to the college dormitories and not just the cities.

The secret to the North Carolina population are the Universities, we have to reach out the college population.

Janet Jackson and LL Cool J will be performing at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex Saturday 4 October 2008, which perfect for the student population.  I think we want to target the student population who may not have established credit yet in some cases, so a system of sales has to be setup to do business with the college students at the colleges even if it mean breaking off blocks of tickets for selected colleges to be sold by the student organizations and fraternities.

Janet and LL Cool J Performs at the City of Brotherly Love

Janet and LL Cool J Performs at the City of Brotherly Love

Postponed

The Wachovia Center is an indoor arena located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is the home of the 76ers (NBA) and Wings (NHL) and other professional sports franchises.  It was a $206 million project completed in 1996.

The Wachovia Center can seat about 20,000 people it has numerous restaurants, 126 luxury suites and 1,800 club seats.

Philadelphia is the largest city in Pennsylvania and the 6th most populous city in the United States, 5th largest metropolitan area and 4th largest consumer market and the center of power of Philadelphia County and is the 49th most populated city in the world.

Nicknamed the City of Brotherly Love, the city has a population of about 1.4 million people and the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area has a population of about 5.8 million people.

The city consist of mostly African Americans at about 45% and whites at about 43%.The main targeted age group for the Rock Wit Chu Tour in this city is from the age of 18 to about 50 years old which is about 45% to 50% of the total population with median income of about $31,000 per household for the city as a whole, while 18% of families and 23% of the population including 31% of those under 18 years old and 17% over 65 years of age are below the poverty line.

What this tells you is that the targeted group is above the median for the city as a whole which is $31,000 per household, which may increase discretionary spending by our targeted group for our services. Of the registered voters about 75% are democratic, which makes this a good venue for “Rock the Vote” a non profit organization that builds voting blocks through with the youth through entertainment.

Janet Jackson and LL Cool J will perform at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 2 October 2008 after performing in Boston and than it is off to Greensboro, NC at the Coliseum Complex.  Because of the demographics/location I predict a quick sellout.  If you are a Janet Jackson and/or an LL Cool J fan and want to be present at this event please get your ticket As Soon As Possible.

Janet & LL Heads to the TD Banknorth Garden

Janet & LL Heads to the TD Banknorth Garden

Postponed

The TD Banknorth Garden is an arena in Boston, Massachusetts, named after the sponsor is often called the Garden.  It is the home of the Boston Celtics (NBA) and Boston Bruins (NHL).  Constructed to replace the famous Boston Garden the arena was called the Fleet Center, it opened in 1995 and has a maximum capacity of about 19,500.

Boston is the capital and largest city of Massachusetts, located in Suffolk County in the northeastern United States.  The largest city in New England, Boston it is the economic and cultural center of the entire area.  The city has a population of about 600,000 and is set at the center of Cambridge-Boston-Quincy metropolitan area which is the 10th largest metropolitan area in the United States and the 5th largest (CSA) Combined Statistical Area at 4.5 Million, meaning an area representing overlapping labor and media markets.  As of December 2006 there were 126 Combined Statistical Areas in the United States defined by the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

Boston has a very dense population of about 12,166 per square mile of major cites only, New York, San Francisco and Chicago have greater population density than Boston.  Though the population of Boston is about 600,000 during the day it can grow to 1.2 Million on any given day because of people travelling there from suburban areas for work, education, medical and special events like the Janet Jackson Rock Wit Chu tour.

The population consists of about 49% Caucasian, 25% African American or Black, 14% Hispanic or Latino, 8% Asian Americans about 1% Native American as well as other races and first generation racially mixed people.

The Janet Jackson Rock Wit Chu World Tour North American Leg will reach Boston on Wednesday 1 October 2008.  Performing before a almost full capacity crowd at every show, this show is billed to be a banger, lights, action, glamour Janet and LL Cool J be there or be a square.  So come the city early that day and be prepared to stay late.

Back to Canada for Janet Jackson featuring LL Cool J at Bell Centre

Back to Canada for Janet Jackson featuring LL Cool J at Bell Centre

Postponed

The Bell Centre is in Montreal Canada which is the largest city in the Canadian province of Quebec with about 1.6 million people and the second largest city in Canada after Ontario which has about 2.5 million people in the population.  The Bell Centre Arena holds about 21,273 people and is located in downtown Montreal.

The official language of Montreal is French it is the largest French speaking city in North America and second largest in the world after Paris, France.  About 18.5% of the Montreal population speaks English as the first language at home and about 40% of the Montreal population is bilingual speaking both French and English.

The ethnicity of Quebec is basically mixed and mostly French, Italian, Irish and English and the largest minority population is black people numbering about 170,000.  While Quebec is a city of 1.6 million the Greater Montreal Area has a population of about 1.6 million people.

The main industries in Montreal are aerospace, electronics, pharmaceuticals, software, telecommunications and tobaccos.  The main areas in the service sector are civil, mechanical and process engineering, finance and higher education.  Montreal is ranked number 4 in aerospace jobs.  Montreal is located about 330 miles north of New York City and you can go and leave from Canada by ground or sea without a passport until at least 2009.

Janet Jackson and LL Cool J will perform at the Bell Centre in Montreal on 29 September 2008.  So far so good as Janet has performed before sellout crowds at every venue!  The show has been getting great reviews with very few mixed opinions you cannot win over everybody.  The worst thing I heard was Janet was trying to hard to be back on top and there were too many lights and stage effects.  In other words “Damn Janet put on a good show that included Live Nation’s commitment to stage production investments.”  I will take these criticisms any day.

Janet wants to Rock Wit Chu in Montreal don’t miss out on the fun and excitement!

Janet & LL Cool James heads to the Palace of Auburn Hills

Seating charts reflect the general layout for this venue at this time. Specific seat locations may vary and stage position may change without notice.

Janet & LL Cool James heads to the Palace of Auburn Hills

Rescheduled for October 28th, 2008

Known as the Palace is an entertainment and sports setting and the home of the Detroit Pistons. With a seating capacity of 23,000 for an end stage setup which is the setup for the Rock Wit Chu Tour, the Palace holds a big crowd.   Because of the location it is known as a good concert venue.   Auburn Hills, Michigan is in Suburban area with a population of about 49,000 people on the near of Metro-Detroit.

Detroit is the largest city in Michigan with a population of about 1 Million and is the 11th largest city in the United States, however Metro Detroit which is often

referred to as Detroit is a metropolitan area of about 4.5 Million and the Detroit-Windsor area a major commercial link between Canada and the U.S. border has a total population of about 5.7 Million.  The Urban population is about 4 million.

A famous nickname for Detroit is Motown for Motor Town, because of the huge automobile manufacturing presence.  The American Auto Industry is in a critical time, but is bouncing back and is trying to regain its perception as makers of quality cars.  They make good cars not but all Americans are not totally convinced because of past experiences when American auto makers became arrogant in the auto market as the foreign car makers continued to improve.  Detroit is actually a city making a comeback.

Janet Jackson and LL Cool J will perform at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday 27 September 2008 @ 7:30pm.  I think the concert will be good for the city and will give the city more national exposure if properly marketed to be inclusive of the American Auto Industry whom I think should co-sponsor this event with the help of Clear Channel Communications.  I think if any concert should get national exposure through the Associated Press it is this one.  Metro-Detroit must rebuild its perception as the one and only Motown.  And Janet owes Motown a shout out because this is where it all begun the Jackson Dynasty.
